Karen Morgan-Vanderlick, MD

As a physician, my primary goal is to improve the quality of life for individuals suffering from acute and/or chronic pain by providing exceptional care and expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of painful conditions.  Every patient is unique, and thus my treatment strategies are specifically tailored to meet the individual needs of each patient.  To me, you are not just a number on a chart.  In order to understand and better treat you as my patient, it is necessary to first get to know you as the unique individual that you are.  My goal is to improve your quality of life by helping manage your pain so that each day can be lived to the fullest.

I grew up as a native to northeastern Louisiana with strong family ties to Oklahoma.  I attended medical school at Louisiana State University in Shreveport and then completed my residency in anesthesiology at Scott and White Memorial Hospital in Temple, Texas.  I then completed a fellowship in Pain Medicine at University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City.   I am board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology and eligible for certification in Pain Medicine.  In addition to caring for my patients, I enjoy spending time with my husband and daughters.  We are active members of the Methodist church.
